I was doing some sketches, and I know this was never seen in the movie, but this is what I got:
A cow-like animal with a rhino structure. Used for food, mostly. Can be used to ride. Hexapedal, purplish-blue armor, and a ridge along the top of the neck like a direhorse. Three horns on head, and one on "chin". A beak type of structure over the mouth. Just imagine a hammerhead, but with rhino horns. And without the hammerhead part of the facial structure...

I know what Txur is talking about, with the purple ikran-like animals seen when Jake is in his Avatar for the 2nd time with Norm and Grace.

I third the animal. Which means, it will move on to the official Swirä List, but after we create a taxonomy (Hopefully!) and a basic description, a use of the animal, etc. Avatard will have to take part in the system, since she created it. (So to speak) We will then figure out where exactly it lives, and it's purpose on Pandora.
