Hell's Gate

Brian's eyes widen and his pupils dilate, and he starts spouting out random Na'vi phrases, for about a minute. Then he returns to normal and yells, "What the hell is happening to me?!?" He calms down and says to Alice, "Ok this happened before, I know what I am doing but I have no control over my body. Then when I am in control I keep hearing the DAMN VOICE spouting out that f***ing nonsense non stop!" Brian takes another breath and finishes with, "Alice any ideas? Because this is the reason that I disappeared a few days ago."

Alice looks at her feet. What if..."Your Avatar has a mind of its own. It literally has its own soul. And it can't move unless you're...with it. Am I right?"

"I think so, I mean, its not in the Avatar body, right now its in my head." Brian says, "But Alice I'm concerned, I cant live with this damn voice in my head, and I don't want to lose control and end up in danger."

Alice thinks for a moment. "Maybe this isn't a matter for me to be dealing with. Something maybe a Tsahik, the Na'vi shaman, should deal with. I can get you an escort and maybe you can ask her what is wrong."

Brian smiles, "Ok Alice I'll follow your lead!"

Alice grabs Brian's arm and hoists him up. "Good. Let's get moving. The Na'vi aren't too kind on humans...best if you put on some kind of vest that prevents poison arrows."

Brian follows her while grabbing a bulletproof vest and a face mask as they head out into the wilderness.

Parker Selfridge slams down on his desk, face beat red. "Where the hell are they?" He shouts out to Colonel Miles Quaritch. "Huh? Where are they?!" Quaritch squints, and tilts his head ever so slightly. "I don't know. I told you...when I find out, you'll be the first to know. Now, if you excuse me...I have so damn work to do!" Quaritch throws his knife at the wall, hitting a picture of a Na'vi in the face. Parker storms out from behind his desk and leans out his glass door, looking towards Quaritch. "You better find out soon, Colonel! Or you're outta here!"

Tara walks out of the shuttle with all the new arrivers. She heads towards the entrance hastily, she wants to see her avatar as soon as possible. Of course the briefing first, although she gathered all the basic information already, that briefing is there for a reason.

Tara has found her way to the shooting range. She was there for quite a while now, trying out many weapons, comparing them in many aspects. She needed this for her task, if she wanted to go into the wild for longer periods of time, she had to chose wisely. She found her love in the form of the standard issue rifle, it seemed good for hunting, having the accuracy and firepower. Of course nothing was sure this way, with no pevious experience of pandoran environment, but if the wildlife is really as hard to kill as they say, finding weak points will be the key to survival, not firepower. Only one last thing bothered her: with the size of an avatar, what diffivulties will occur with human sized weapons?

"And you know what? Next time I go out without my avatar! Anyone dares come with me?" Tara says boastfully to a group of fellow grunts in the canteen. It's easy to be brave now, the pandoran jungle trip being a few days old memory, and some liquid self-confidence in her bloodstream.
She spent three days out in the jungle, and in case of emergency her only hope would have been an SOS-signal sending her coordinates, and a red smoke, and she would have had to stay alive until a chopper arrives. Fortunately there was no need of this, and she got back to Hells Gate.
The time to be worried will be when she is out there again on her own, with no remote body.
